Become a Yotel Passanger

Permalink 12:09:42 pm, Categories: UK Hotels

www.Parctel.com: No, we have not spelt passenger wrong, guests at the new YOtels are reffered to as 'passangers'.

Two of these new hotels are opening up in the UK during 2007. The first one will open at the South Terminal of Gatwick Airport during May 2007 and the second inside Terminal 4 at Heathrow Airport in the summer.

Each of Yotels 10m² Premium 'cabins', designed by Priestman Goode, who has helped Airbus define the double deck aircraft of the future, feature items such as; Techno wall with universal port for your i-pod or MP3 player, Flat screen LCD TV, Free internet access - wired and wi-fi, On demand' blockbuster and classic movies, Over 80 music stations, Double beds for one or two, Mood lighting, Luxury bathroom fittings including rain shower, Bespoke toiletries, Eat in 'Grazing' menu with cabin service, Automated check in / out, On line booking and a host of other normal creature comforts.

Yotel founder, Simon Woodroffe's inspiration for YOtel came from British Airways first class and Japanese capsule hotels. "We believe it is one of the world's most radical hotel concepts and will offer a solution to expensive and boring hotels around the globe."

Pricing is also competitive and innovative as you can book a 'cabin' for four hours and then in one hour blocks thereafter as well as book a 'cabin' for an overnight stay. Prices start from £25.00. This is ideal for quick business meetings or even if you need a place to sleep after a long journey to the Airport Carpark.

Simon's background is also in music and the comparisons with another British Brand Entrepeuner, Richard Branson are obvious. Simon left school in 1967 and entered the rock 'n' roll world. He rose through the ranks of roadie and stage manager to stage designer, and by 1985 his company was designing the stage of Live Aid, the biggest charity music event in history. Later that year he left the increasingly technical stage design industry, in his words "before I got found out", and went in search of a business that was closer to the end consumer. Simon's first YO! business was YO! Sushi. He has since gone on to found YO! Japan Clothing, a motivational speaking business, YO! How, YO! Zone a spa with a difference and now YOtels.

Even the job titles follow airplane speak; Cabin Attendant, Cabin Crew, Cabin Engineer, House Keeper, General Manager, Senior Cabin Crew

YOtel are hiring staff and have a young fresh approach to their job descriptions and duties.

Right now, Simon, where is my commission? :D
